17th Street and Carey Avenue. It marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue. From Capitol Avenue, the parade continues down to Carey and wraps back up to 17th street and concludes.
The first float of the Christmas Parade is
Toys for Tots.
Please bring unwrapped
toys to the parade and let's see how many toys the people of Cheyenne can collect this year!
Despite the impacts of COVID-19, we are looking forward to celebrating the kickoff of our holiday season with the 30th annual Cheyenne Christmas Parade. We hope the evening is filled with plenty of holiday joy, but we are also encouraging our community to stay safe.
Please wear masks according to guidelines. Consider creating a one-of-a-kind holiday mask to celebrate the season in your own unique way.
The outdoor venue creates the opportunity for groups to social distance from one another.
Please remain within your customary circle of contacts throughout the evening and don't intermingle with others.
The Parade route extends nearly 20 blocks and while larger crowds have generally congregated on Capitol Avenue, we suggest Carey Avenue as an optional viewing location which allows for more social distancing.
View the parade virtually. A link to the event will be available at CheyenneChristmasParade.com.
As we enter this holiday season, we encourage peace and goodwill to all. Please respect the views and choices of others just as you expect them to respect you as an individual. Together we can have fun and enjoy the parade together.
